One-Day Seminar Series: School Mental Health - Oct. 31st

As a school administrator, there are two very important aspects of your life which warrant continual attention: The honing of your professional/technical skills to assist in the running of your school districts, and optimum success in your personal life.

NJASA is committed to the self-development of our members to achieve goals of professional and personal growth.  Your Association also understands that the foundation of professional development is a self-directed and self-driven process designed to enhance the knowledge, skills and values of administrators, along with a formal recognition of achievement.

To that end, NJASA has designed a comprehensive professional development One-Day Seminar Program.  Workshops addressing various important topics will be offered virtually, via Zoom, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon on eight different dates during the 2022-2023 school year.

The second seminar will be on Monday, October 31: Highlighting Effective School-Based Mental Health Services.  During this program, participants will learn about The Clayton Model.  The Child Connection Center implements support services in schools utilizing this model, which is a universal school-based social and emotional learning program that serves all students regardless of classification.  It is a responsive, trauma-informed intervention program structured to offer a network of support services.  Come hear about the journey and impact!

Presenters for this program will be:

Nikolas Koutsogiannis, Superintendent, Clayton Public Schools

Dr. Ross Whiting, Evaluation and Organizational Development Consultant and Former Associate Director for the Walter Rand Institute for Public Affairs.

Kate Hallinan, M.Ed., Clayton Model Pilot Program Coordinator, Clayton Public Schools.

Stephanie Chambers, M.Ed., Gloucester County SEL Coordinator, Gloucester County Special Services School District.
