To that end, NJASA has designed the comprehensive professional development series listed below. All sessions will be virtual, via Zoom. The virtual meeting room will open at 9:15 a.m. for each session, with presentations running from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Active NJASA members may attend these sessions at no cost; non-members may participate for $145.00 per session.
Students: Combining best practices with sound strategies that are reasonable and practical will be the focus of these sessions:
-September 19, 2023: Student Discipline - Present Impact
-November 8, 2023: HIB - Issues and Trends
Governance: Spend time with us as we identify appropriate and reasonable solutions to Governance issues, such as:
-February 13, 2024: Board Relations - Ever Changing
-March 14, 2024: Ethics - Requirements and Violations
Personnel: These sessions will focus on State Law related to Tenure, Seniority, RIFs, employment matters and non-renewals:
-April 18, 2024: Tenure/Seniority/RIFs
-May 2, 2024: Non-Renewals - Laws and Pitfalls
